I was raised in a Baptist family. Baptists are Christians who believe in original sin and that in order to get into heaven upon death you must make a religious commitment to Jesus Christ. This is usually referred to as being "saved." There are exceptions for children considered to be under the "age of accountability" meaning that they are too young to understand sin. The name of the group comes from the tradition of being baptised (submerged in water) as a way of following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ and as a public show of your faith.
Now, having said all this, I've never been baptized and don't consider myself part of the church. Most organized religion kind of squicks me out. I've come to a point where I believe that a God or Gods probably exist, but I don't really follow any sort of life path. However, I have looked into and continue to look into Wiccan and Feri traditions, because the ritual and ideals sort of fit my beliefs better than anything I've found.

I have been baptized but it was when i was a baby. I peed on the guy who baptized me XD. I didn't want to be baptized- I am a natural atheist!!!!!

Im Wiccan, so yeah, a witch basically. I believe in the human spirit being capable of doing anything if you have the will for it, and I practice white magic. I also have developed some abilities that let me fight for extended amounts of times or for just S&G's .
I believe in two major gods. A Goddess(the green lady) and a God(the horned Hunter, or Pan). Take that as you will

Awesome! I have a friend who is Wiccan. I dont really know much about it but it sounds cool. I think that if I believed in a god, i would probably be Wiccan XD

What sounds cool about it? And if you want to learn more, I can send you some e-books, and groups that I post in. I like them

I was raised Christian, but I've always been open to other religions--Wicca and worshiping the Greek Gods have always appealed to me, but I call myself Christian.

i know. i like the greek way of looking at it better. instead of ONE all powerful person, there are individuals that rule certain things.

I have NEVER known a priest who touched a little kid. NEWSFLASH: those cases were like all from the eighties and stuff

I have no problems with any religions because I think that people should believe what they think is right. What I have a problem with is when people think that if people dont believe what they believe they are wrong. We dont know which religion is right. I mean, I could be going to hell for being an atheist but then again, the Christians could be wrong too.

I just wish people were more accepting of things.

it's so stupid how some people are so prejudiced and unaccepting.

i know. it happens a lot with atheists too. people think we are like, sadistic devil children. Thats not true. We believe that there is no god, that no one will go to heaven or hell or that there is even a place like that. I just can't possibly imagine a being that created the Earth and all the animals in it.

I believe that hell only has power over you if you give it power. I dont think that Satan(meet once) is really that scare. Hes a scub. He only gets kicks and juice(power, might, what ever) when you give him the right to scare you.

If its really your essence, what makes you you, then it will do what you would do. Would you want to see the galaxy, go to a afterlife, feel the need for a punishment?
